Griasa

Privacy Policy

Applies to the Griasa app for macOS and its Claude Desktop extension. Last updated 23 October 2026.

Griasa is open-source software that runs on your Mac. There is no Griasa server and no account. The developer receives none of your recordings, transcripts, notes or usage data. This page describes what the software itself does with your data.

What is collected

Griasa records only what you ask it to: meeting audio (your microphone and the Mac's system audio) and dictation. From those it makes transcripts, notes, a list of promises and pages for the people you meet. It reads your calendar to know when a meeting starts and who was invited. There is no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting.

How it is used and where it is stored

Everything is stored in files on your Mac, in ~/Library/Application Support/Griasa and the recording folder you choose. Speech is transcribed on the Mac. Notes and promises are made by a local model on the Mac unless you select a cloud provider in Settings. API keys you enter are stored in the macOS keychain.

Sharing with third parties

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with the developer.

Retention and deletion

Data stays until you delete it. Old audio can be deleted automatically after a period you choose (Settings → Meetings → Recordings on disk); transcripts and notes are kept. Deleting a meeting in the app removes it from the history and its project files; its recording folder can be deleted in Finder. Removing the folder above, the recording folder and the app removes everything.

Organizations

Administrators can restrict Griasa with configuration profiles, for example to on-device AI only or with MCP switched off. See the MDM guide.
